Art auction for windows from Johnny's home
on Moon River, Savannah.

A Gatsby-style event and auction, "Hollywood Era of Johnny," will be presented on October 30, 2009, by 700 Drayton at the Mansion on Forsyth Park. In Savannah's legendary spirit of historic restoration and re-purposing, the current owners of Johnny and Ginger Mercer's Burnside Island home, located on Moon River, donated old windows removed during renovations. These local artists have interpreted Johnny Mercer's lyrics by enhancing the windows.
This is a fund-raising event to support the
Friends of Johnny Mercer, Inc. and the Johnny Mercer Statue Project. This red carpet costume event will feature an open bar, heavy hors d' oeuvres, costume contest, live entertainment with a special guest appearance. The silent auction of the windows of his pride and joy, “Moon River” will take place at during the event.
Event Cost: $100.00 per guest ($60.00 tax deductible)
